A good company starts with a good idea and a passion for the product. That is how SUP Board Rentals in Redding, CA was born.  Towards the end of a fairly successful summer, the owner, Michelle Wright reached out to me for marketing ideas and to take a look at where she can fill the holes in her business in general.  

"How do I go from start to successful?"

I took a look at her online presence, asked about her plans for the company both written and goals she was still working out in her mind, and set up a plan to get her on track for a successful 2021 season.  Watch as SUP Board Rentals Marketing and Business plans unfold.

Passion is so important when going out on your own.  Starting a business means that you are going to eat, sleep, and live  your company for a while.  The owner, Michelle definitely has the passion.  When she called me I was thrilled to hear her passion.  I was also thrilled to hear she had essentially done a minimum value product test without knowing it. Michelle had spent the summer spending the least amount possible and putting her services out there to see if she could find customers that way.  And she did.  She had a semi-successful summer and started to build a customer base without any training or any help.  

PART 1 - basic business pillars

Knowing that Sup Board Rentals was a viable product in Redding, my first step was educating them in how to set up those basic business pillars that will set the stage for success in the future.  After a phone call about what these things were and why they were important, I sent Michelle a business plan template, some links to resources I like and homework that will building her foundation.
